Ingredients
- 1 lb broccoli, cut into small florets
- 12 oz ground lamb
- for steaming water
Instructions
- Fill a medium pot with about 1 inch of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Place a steamer basket or insert inside.
- Add the broccoli florets (1 lb, cut into small florets) to the steamer basket. Cover and steam for 8 to 10 minutes, until the florets are very soft and a fork slides through easily.
- While the broccoli steams, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground lamb (12 oz) and break it up with a wooden spoon or spatula. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the lamb is fully cooked through with no pink remaining and crumbled into small pieces.
- Transfer the steamed broccoli to a mixing bowl. Use a fork to gently mash the florets, breaking them down until they're soft and slightly chunky but not pureed.
- Add the cooked ground lamb to the bowl with the mashed broccoli. Fold together gently until evenly combined.
- Divide between bowls and serve warm.
